2. After two weeks of nothing but cold, rainy days, we have had gorgeous weather the last few days. When I got home from work yesterday, I quickly changed my clothes, strapped Addie in the stroller and off we went. It has been so long since we've walked around the neighborhood. I think we've both missed our walks!
3. Addie has teeth popping out like crazy lately! She cut her top two molars last week, and this week, her bottom gums are completely swollen. Just this weekend, when she was laughing and goofing off, I noticed one of her bottom front teeth is almost completely out. I had no clue she was even working on that one. How did we miss it?
4. Speaking of teeth, this girl has the craziest taste buds. Some may say she's a picky eater, but she will try pretty much anything in her own time. She does not like to be forced to try something new. If she doesn't like something though, she makes it known. For example, I've tried mashed potatoes on numerous occasions with no luck. Sweet potato wedges on the other hand, she is a huge fan. Crab rangoons from the Chinese restaurant down the street, LOVES!
5. I really need to get a Mardi Gras wreath on our front door this weekend!
6. I've been working on Addie's latest photobook on Shutterfly. It made me realize how far behind I am in updating her actual baby book. It's times like this when I'm thankful to have kept record here so I can go back to see when she reached those milestones.
7. For Christmas, I received a copy of Jesus Calling, and each day, it seems like the devotion was written just for me. I haven't been too great about reading it in the morning, but when I sit down at night to read the passage, I am reminded why I should read it in the morning. And I know that my days go a hundred times better when I start them with my quiet time with the Lord.
8. And before I get any off the wall comments, I promise you I do not feed my child MSG laden foods on a regular basis (or ever really except for the time she took a bite of my crab rangoon when the picture above was snapped).
9. I've been thinking of starting a "Menu Monday" post to hold myself accountable to the meals that I plan out on the weekends. Too often lately, I don't prep well enough ahead of time and order take out instead of cooking something for dinner. This could also be one of the obstacles of dropping the baby weight once and for all, but that's another post in itself. Plus, I always like seeing other "Menu Monday's" to get ideas and new recipes to try out in my kitchen.
10. I feel so behind on updating my little ole blog here. I have lots of thoughts that I want to get down; it's just having those thoughts flow when I have the time to sit down to the computer at night. Something else to work on.
