Whew! What a crazy, busy week it's been!
I'm linking up with Darci, Natasha, & some other ladies for this week's installment of Five on Friday!
I'm getting old. (insert sad face here) Last Saturday, I was getting Addison out of the car seat which is now in the middle. Instead of getting in the car, I just reached over to undo the buckle & twisted my upper back pretty bad. So bad, in fact, that on Sunday, a severe muscle spasm stopped me dead in my tracks as I was walking through the house. I had been living on Advil & Icy Hot for a few days and was feeling much better by Wednesday. Until I sneezed that night. And now it is very sore and tight again. From a sneeze!! Seriously?!
Addie LOVES to sing! The girl breaks out in song at the most random times. I have absolutely no idea what she is saying but can usually understand a couple of words in her song. I posted this picture on Instagram earlier this week when she was singing to her baby and a few people requested a video to hear her singing voice. But of course, every time I tried to video, she would stop singing and try to take the phone out of my hand. After her bath the next evening, I was finally able to capture her beautiful singing voice.
A while ago, Andie told me about Dolly Parton's Imagination Library that you can sign your child up for and they'll receive an age appropriate book each month in the mail. We were on the waiting list, and I hadn't heard anything recently about if we had moved up to the top or not. Well, we must have because Addie received her first gift this week! She's been reading her "choo choo book" every day! You know how much this girl loves her books and what a great way to expand her library!
Are you tired of hearing me talk about Addie starting preschool? Ten more days!
To celebrate it being Friday, I stopped at Starbucks on the way to work this morning. My general rule is that if there are more than 3 cars in the drive thru, I will not stop. Today, there were at least six and more were lining up in the street. So I figured I'd park and go inside to get my coffee. If you know me, I must have REALLY wanted one because I will hardly ever go inside if I can order in a drive thru. As I was walking in, these two women walked out of the pilates place next door and got in the already long line. I was a tad bit perturbed they got in front of me because I didn't think they had to be at work in the next ten minutes. But I think the real reason I was annoyed was because they were 30 years OLDER than me & in MUCH better shape than I am! Not that that is their problem and I am the only one that can do something about that. But that is a post all in itself....
